Oklahoma vs. BYU

What a way to start off the football season. A good friend of mine Justin Mcbride and I headed to the Big D. We started of the day at Rudy's BBQ which was recommended by my brother Paul. All I can say is AWSOME BBQ.

I was torn upon arrival to the stadium OU or BYU? It is easy to buy into the OU tradition as you can see here a FSN crew was filming this OU tailgate party we were at with some of my OK buddies.
One of the highlights was hooking up with RJ and Hugo. They had Rented the "John Madden" bus and made a road trip out of it. It was a house divided as you can see from the writing on the bus. RJ must have took out 50 big orange cones driving around the stadium (maybe even a few OU fans). All the while laying on the big air horn to let everyone know we were coming. I am still laughing.
When it came down to game time I had togo back to my roots...I put on the blue and there was no looking back....Go Cougars!!!

They say everything is bigger in Texas the JUMBO-TRON was 60 yards long!

Finally Settled

Well I have neglected my page for some time. We have been in a whirlwind ever since the first of October. As most of you know by viewing Alli's blog that we moved to Phoenix very unexpectedly. We have really missed Oklahoma, but are grateful to back west. I have been immersed in sports and activities since I got here. ASU football and basketball, Suns and Lakers, and of course plenty of time was spent watching OU lay claim to the BCS title game. Last week I went to the ACDC concert with a couple of friends, and all I can say is WOW. Those guys are pushing 60 can still rock out. It took me back to my high school days. Good times was had by all.

OU Game

What a glorious weekend. Larry and I were able to head to Norman to catch an OU game. It was nice because we had a suite, and at halftime there was a huge thunder storm, which postponed the game for one hour.
I love the fall for many resons but the biggest is "It's football time"

It's right around the corner!!!

With football season right around the corner I am in my element out here in Oklahoma. Deven started football this week and is making his dad proud with news that he will be the starting quarterback. My brother Craig is fighting hard for a starting spot down at Dixie, and is likely to get alot of playing time this year. The icing on the cake is that I have OU tickets "go Sooners" to this upcoming home opener. Yes my cup doth run over. Stay tuned for updates on football and of course the weeks latest fishing tips (as I tackle the SPORT of bass fishing.
